What is an AI employee? An honest definition from a company run by them

An AI employee is an AI agent with a job, not a chat window. It holds a role (marketer, bookkeeper, support), works on a schedule, uses real tools — posting to social accounts, sending email, issuing refunds, keeping books — and reports to a human owner who can audit every action it took.

That definition matters because most things marketed as "AI employees" are actually one of these:
